The platform acts as a trading command center — users define their playbook, connect a supported broker via Alpaca, test in paper mode, and use XeanVI to scan, validate, and execute managed trades based on predefined rules.
XeanVI was built by Troy Swartwood, the founder and a software engineer who experienced firsthand how hard it is to consistently execute a trading plan under market pressure. His background is in software and systems engineering, not financial advisory — he is not a licensed financial adviser, and XeanVI is trading-automation software, not investment advice. The platform exists to make the trading workflow visible, repeatable, and paper-testable before live capital is at risk.

- Define your playbook — Set your entry criteria, risk limits, stop distances, and position sizing rules in Settings.
- Test in paper mode — Run real market scans with simulated capital. See the same gate checks, scores, and Xean AI analysis as live mode.
- Connect your broker — Link your Alpaca account via OAuth when you're ready. Funds stay at Alpaca — XeanVI only routes orders within the permissions you grant.
- Go live on your terms — Switch to live mode when your rules are proven in paper. XeanVI enforces your plan so you don't have to fight your own decisions under pressure.
