How to Set Up an Alpaca Account and Connect It to XeanVI

XeanVI uses Alpaca for market data and order execution. You create the account at Alpaca, then authorize XeanVI to use it. Start with paper trading — no real money moves until you explicitly connect a live account.

STEP_01

Step 1 — Create your Alpaca account

Go to alpaca.markets and sign up. Alpaca is a US-regulated brokerage; account creation is free. Complete identity verification when prompted.

STEP_02

Step 2 — Enable paper trading

Every Alpaca account includes a paper-trading environment with simulated funds. Confirm it is active in your Alpaca dashboard before continuing. This is the account XeanVI connects to first.

Step 3 — Connect Alpaca to XeanVI

Log in to XeanVI, open Settings, and find the Broker Connectivity card. Click Connect Alpaca Paper. You will be redirected to Alpaca to authorize XeanVI, then returned to Settings.

Before You Authorize XeanVI By allowing XeanVI to access your Alpaca account, you grant XeanVI access to your account information and permission to place transactions at your direction according to the settings you configure. Alpaca does not warrant or guarantee that XeanVI will work as advertised or expected. Review XeanVI’s broker integration information before authorizing at /broker-integration.

Step 4 — Verify the connection

Back in Settings, the Broker Connectivity card should show your paper account as connected. Run a scan from the dashboard to confirm data is flowing.

Moving to a live account

Only after you have validated your rules in paper mode. Reconnect from the same Settings card and choose the live environment. XeanVI enforces a maximum-loss cap on every automated position, but live fills differ from paper — expect slippage.
